List of beauties keeps on getting longer and longer. As we research more and more Doon beauties emerge who have made an impact. Most of them are rocking in the movie or television industry. Adding to this list is one more name Ragini Nandwani. Born on September 4, 1989 she instantly got fame with her first tv show Mrs. Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuein. She also featured in a recent movie Dehraadun Diary which also marked her debut in the Hindi Movie Industry. Ragini has studied in Doon International School and then went on to obtain her Degree of English Honors from Delhi University.
Ragini started her career with miniscule roles in Tv Shows such as Ye Meri Life Hai & Thode Khushi Thode Gham. But she never got noticed for either of her roles. Then in 2011 she was offered to play the lead in Mrs. Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuen in which she played the role of Lovely Kaushik who was an unconventional Daughter-in-law. This time she made lasting impact. Because of this show she started to get movie offers and one such offer was for her to act in a movie based on a true murder story titles as Dehraadun Diary. Shooting of this movie also was done in the valley itself. It starred Adhyanan Suman, Ashwini Kalsekar, Rati Agnihotri , Neelima Azim and Rohit Bakshi along with Ragini as the lead. The film released on 3rd January 2013 but was a flop at the box office. Despite this failure Ragini continued to get offers by the southern cinema.
One of her major breaks came with the movie Thailaiva where she was casted opposite Vijay who is a Superstar in the Tamil Movie Industry. The film was an action thriller directed by A.L. Vijay and Ragini was playing a major role of a North Indian Girl in it. This movie was very well received by the critics but it suffered on the commercial front due to some controversy and late release in some parts. Though the movie was a commercial failure Ragini’s performance won her many accolades.
Later on after Thalaiva Ragini has been offered by many roles in the Southern Movie Industry but for now she is only focusing on improving her southern languages. She has also appeared in a Malayalam Movie titled as Peruchzhi opposite Mohanlal. Ragini will now also be seen doing a cameo in a Marathi movie named Krupa Swaminchi along with some Hindi TV shows and movies.
We Wish her all the best in her career and hope she touches new heights in the future!
