By Air
Few airlines offer daily flight services from Delhi to Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport. One can also take flights from major Indian cities like Mumbai and Chennai to Delhi and then hop onto a connecting flight to Dehradun.
By Train
Dehradun has a railway station with services to major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Trivandrum, Vadodara and Varanasi. Major trains that you can board to reach Dehradun are: Shatabdi Express, Jan Shatabdi Express and New Delhi—Dehradun AC Express among several others.
By Road
Dehradun is well connected by road to all parts of the country. Deluxe, Volvo, Semi-deluxe and ordinary run from New Delhi’s ISBT to Dehradun every hour. One can also drive to Dehradun from Delhi. It’s a 5 hour drive, if one leaves early in the morning. Else, one is likely to be stuck in traffic. The town is on NH 72A (Chhutmalpur to Dehradun).
