Bedu Pako Baramasa is one of the most popular Uttarakhand tune equally popular in Garhwal and Kumaon regions.
BeduPako was conceptualised and written by Brijendra Lal Shah. The song was composed by Mohan Upreti and B M Shah. The song in various versions has been heard by Uttarakhandis across the globe. In 1952 for the first time the song was on the stage of GIC, Nainital. But the song became world famous when Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru chose this song as the best of folks among other participants from India at the Teen Murti Bavan in honour of an international gathering. On this day Mohan Da became BEDU PAKO BOY.
Now after 51 years, the song is again in headlines and this time in a Bollywood version. “ShohnStar Shohn-E” also known as Anshul Kumar Nirala is behind this remix. Anshul is a promising 21 years old boy from Dehradun, Uttarakhand who has recently released his first regional Garhwali Pop Music Video on youtube and the song is already gaining popularity in a very short time.
the music video he had shown the culture of Uttarakhand in a Brand new way. He had remixed the very known and popular song of Uttarakhand “Bhedu Pako” in a Pop Bollywood Style.
He got his name “Shohn-E” from his Mother and Sister. As his Mother and Sister call him by this name. He told that “Shohn-E” really looks very pretty on their faces, so it’ll definitely look pretty on everyone’s faces when the whole world will say “Shooohhhnnnneeee”. Apart of Singing he can play Guitar and he is also well known for his dance.
